The Front of House module is the heart of your live restaurant operations. It handles all customer-facing activities from the moment a guest walks in until they pay and leave. This module ensures smooth order flow, accurate billing, and efficient table management while providing real-time communication with your kitchen.

Workflow Overview

  1. Guest Arrival: Assign table or take order at counter
  2. Order Taking: Enter items via POS with modifiers and special requests
  3. Kitchen Communication: Orders automatically route to appropriate KDS stations
  4. Order Fulfillment: Kitchen prepares items based on KOT tickets
  5. Billing: Generate bill, split if needed, process payment
  6. Closing: Reconcile cash drawer and complete end-of-day procedures

Configuration Checklist

Before using Front of House operations, ensure you have:

  • Created staff user accounts with appropriate permissions
  • Configured POS terminals and paired devices
  • Set up floor plan and table layout
  • Configured payment methods and tax settings
  • Connected Kitchen Display System (if applicable)
  • Set up printers for KOT and receipts
