How to Process a Refund
Overview
If a customer is unhappy with their food or there was a billing error, you can process a refund directly from the Sales Report. This action is secured and requires supervisor authorization.
Prerequisites

process_refunds - Authentication: Supervisor Staff ID and Password
Step-by-Step Guide

Initiate Refund Locate the order in the Sales Report list and click the Red "Re" (Refund) Icon in the Action column.

Review Order Details A popup will appear showing the Order ID, Customer Name, and Items. Verify that you have selected the correct transaction.

Enter Refund Details
- Refund Amount: Enter the specific amount to be returned to the customer. You can process a partial refund or the full amount.
- Reason for Refund: Type a mandatory reason for the audit log (e.g., "Taste is not good," "Wrong item served").

Click Process Refund Click the confirmation button at the bottom of the form.

Supervisor Authentication A security window labeled "Supervisor Approval Required" will appear.
- Staff ID: Enter the ID of the manager or supervisor authorizing the refund.
- Supervisor Password: Enter the secure password.

Finalize Click Verify & Process Refund.
Outcome
The system updates the payment status of the order, records the refund in the financial reports, and logs the reason for audit purposes.
