Dashboard Overview
What is the Dashboard?
The Dashboard serves as the central command center for your restaurant's operations. It provides a real-time visual summary of performance, aggregating data from POS, inventory, and customer interactions.
Note: The Dashboard is the default landing page for the Admin role upon logging in. However, this depends on:
- Permissions: The user must have the
view_dashboardpermission enabled. - Default Settings: The user role must be configured to open the Dashboard by default.
Dashboard Layout & Key Metrics
The dashboard is organized into logical sections to help you digest information quickly:
1. Top-Level Metrics (KPI Cards)
Located at the very top, these cards give you an instant health check:
- Total Sales: Gross revenue for the selected period.
- Total Orders: Volume of transactions.
- Active Orders: Orders currently in preparation or delivery (Live status).
- Completed Orders: Successfully fulfilled orders with completion rates.
2. Operational Charts
Visualizations to understand order flow and revenue sources:
- Order Status Overview: A pie chart showing the ratio of Delivered vs. Cancelled vs. Pending orders.
- Revenue by Service Type: A breakdown of income from Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery, and Pick-up.
- Payment Method Analytics: A ring chart showing how customers are paying (Cash, Card, Split, etc.).
3. Time-Based Analytics
Graphs to help with staffing and trend analysis:
- Popular Hours Analytics: Identifies peak times during the day to help with staff scheduling.
- Sales Trend: A line graph showing revenue performance over the week or month.
4. Product & Customer Insights
Detailed tables for deeper analysis:
- Sales by Category: Which menu sections (e.g., Italian, Desserts) are performing best.
- Recent Orders: A live feed of the latest transactions.
- Top 10 Customers: A leaderboard of your most valuable guests.
- Top Selling Products: A ranked list of individual menu items by quantity and revenue.

Configuration Checklist
To get the most out of your dashboard, ensure the following:
- User Permissions: Ensure managers have
view_dashboardandview_sales_datapermissions. - Default Page: Set Dashboard as the default login page for relevant roles in Staff Management > Roles.
- Service Types: Configure all service types (Delivery, Dine-in, etc.) to see accurate revenue splits.
- Menu Categorization: Properly categorize menu items to populate "Sales by Category" charts effectively.
