Manage Multi Currency
Overview
This article explains how to add, edit, and delete multi-currency settings in the Unidiner back office. Multi-currency management allows businesses to accept cash payments in different currencies during the payment process.
Once a currency is added and enabled, it will be available on the payment process page for the Cash Payment method.
Add a Multi Currency
Use this option to configure a new currency for cash transactions.
Steps to Add a Multi Currency
- Go to the Multi Currency page.
- Click the Add Currency button.
- In the Add Currency form, enter the required details.
1. Select Currency
- Choose the required currency from the Currency dropdown.
- This is a mandatory field.
Example
- USD - United States Dollar
- AED - UAE Dirham
- EUR - Euro
The selected currency will be used during cash payment transactions.
2. Currency Name
- The Currency Name field is automatically filled based on the selected currency.
- This field is system-generated and does not require manual entry.
Example
If AED is selected, the currency name will automatically display as: United Arab Emirates Dirham
3. Currency Exchange Rate
- The Currency Exchange Rate field is automatically displayed.
- This is a read-only field and cannot be edited manually.
The exchange rate helps calculate the currency value during payment processing.
4. Conversion Ratio
- Enter the Conversion Ratio.
- This is a mandatory field.
Example
If:
- Base Currency = INR
- Selected Currency = USD
A conversion ratio determines how the payment amount is converted between currencies.
Ensure the conversion ratio is entered correctly to maintain accurate payment calculations.
5. Minimum Amount
- Enter the Minimum Amount allowed for the currency.
- This field is optional.
This helps define the minimum payment value accepted in the selected currency.
6. Maximum Amount
- Enter the Maximum Amount allowed for the currency.
- This field is optional.
This helps control the maximum payment value accepted in the selected currency.
7. Status
- Select the currency status:
- Enabled
- Disabled
Status Explanation

Enabled
The currency will be available during the payment process. -
Disabled
The currency will remain inactive and will not appear in payments.
- After entering all required information, click Add.
Result
The currency will be added successfully and displayed in the multi-currency list.
If the currency status is set to Enabled, it will reflect on the payment process page for the Cash Payment method.
Edit a Multi Currency
Use this option to modify currency settings or update conversion details.
Steps to Edit a Multi Currency
- Open the Multi Currency page.
- Locate the currency you want to update.
- Click the Edit button.
- Make the required changes:
- Update the conversion ratio.
- Modify minimum or maximum amount.
- Change the currency status.
- Click Update.
Result
The currency settings will be updated successfully, and the latest changes will reflect during payment processing.
Delete a Multi Currency
Use this option to remove a currency configuration that is no longer required.
Steps to Delete a Multi Currency
- Go to the Multi Currency page.
- Find the currency you want to remove.
- Click the Delete button.
- A delete confirmation message will appear.
- Click Delete to confirm the action.
Result
The selected currency configuration will be permanently removed from the system.
Note: Deleted currencies will no longer appear during the payment process for cash payments. Ensure the currency is no longer required before deleting it.
