Printer Integrations
Location: Back Office > Platform Settings > Integrations > Printers
This module lets you connect physical thermal printers to UniDiner. Configure multiple printers for specific uses (Cashier receipts, KOTs, Bar, Kitchen stations).
Supported Printer Types
- Network Printer (LAN/WiFi): Connected via Ethernet or WiFi (recommended for kitchens).
- Windows Printer: Installed on a Windows POS machine via drivers and shared.
- USB Printer: Direct USB connection (requires vendor/product IDs).
How-to Guides
Add a Network Printer (Recommended)
Objective: Connect a networked printer using IP address.
- Click (+) ADD PRINTER.
- Enter Title (for example, Kitchen Hot Station).
- Select Printer Type:
Network Printer. - Set Paper Width (typical:
80mm, or58mm). - Provide IP Address (for example,
192.168.1.200) and Port (default9100). - Click ADD.
Add a Windows Printer
Objective: Use a printer shared from a Windows machine.
- Click (+) ADD PRINTER.
- Enter Title and choose Printer Type:
Windows Printer. - Enter the printer Share Name exactly as configured in Windows "Devices and Printers".
- Set Paper Width and click ADD.
Add a USB Printer
Objective: Connect a local USB thermal printer.
- Click (+) ADD PRINTER.
- Enter Title and choose Printer Type:
USB Printer. - Provide Vendor ID, Product ID, Serial Number, and Local Printer ID (from Device Manager).
- Set Paper Width and click ADD.
Managing Printers (Edit / Delete)
Edit Printer
- Click the Blue Pencil Icon on a printer row.
- Update the IP address, name, or paper width.
- Click UPDATE to save changes.
Delete Printer
- Click the Red Trash Icon on a printer row.
- Confirm deletion in the popup.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- For network printers, ensure the printer has a static IP or DHCP reservation.
- Test port
9100connectivity withncor telnet from the POS network. - For Windows shared printers, ensure the printer is shared and the Windows host is reachable from the POS.
- For USB printers, install vendor drivers and verify device IDs in Device Manager.
- Use 80mm for standard receipts; 58mm for narrow paper devices.
