Menu Modifiers
Overview
Modifiers are extras or customisations customers can request (e.g., Extra Cheese, No Onion, Extra Spicy). Modifiers can be chargeable or free and optionally mapped to ingredients so stock is adjusted when modifiers are sold.
Guide 1: How to Add a New Modifier
- Initiate: Click the blue (+) ADD MODIFIER button at the top right.
- Enter Details:
- Modifier Name: e.g., Extra Cheese.
- Modifier Price: Enter the cost (enter
0if free).
- Link Inventory (Optional):
- Click (+) Add Ingredient to associate an ingredient (e.g., Cheese) and enter the quantity consumed per modifier (e.g., 20g).
- Save: Click ADD.
Guide 2: Edit or Delete Modifiers
- To Edit: Click the blue Edit button on the modifier card, update fields, and click UPDATE.
- To Delete: Click the red Delete button and confirm the action in the popup.
Notes & Best Practices
- Track high-cost modifiers with inventory mapping to maintain accurate cost-of-goods (COGS).
- Use clear modifier names to avoid duplication (e.g., "Extra Cheese (20g)").
