How to Assign Customers and Waiters

Overview

Assigning orders to specific waiters ensures accurate tip tracking and performance reporting. Linking customers allows for loyalty tracking and delivery management.

Prerequisites

  • User Permission Required: pos_access

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Select Waiter Use the dropdown menu at the top of the cart labeled "Waiter..." to assign the staff member responsible for this order.

  2. Select Existing Customer Use the search bar labeled "Select..." to find a customer by name or phone number.

  3. Add New Customer

    • Click the (+) Plus Button next to the customer search bar.
    • Enter Name and Phone Number (Mandatory).
    • Enter Email (Optional).
    • Click Add.
  4. Edit Customer Details If a customer's info is incorrect, select them, then click the Pencil Icon next to their name to update their profile.

Outcome

The order is now linked to the selected waiter and customer. This information will appear on the receipt and in backend reports.
