How to Manage Service Types
Overview
Unidiner supports multiple service workflows. Selecting the correct service type ensures the order is routed correctly (e.g., to a table or a delivery driver).
Prerequisites
- User Permission Required:
pos_access - Configuration: Tables and Delivery Zones must be set up.
Step-by-Step Guide
Select the service type from the dropdown menu in the cart section:
Option A: Dine-in
- Select Dine-in.
- A Table Selection popup appears showing floors and sections.
- Select a table (you can view capacity and current occupancy).
- Enter the Number of People.
- Click Confirm Selection.
Option B: Delivery
- Select Delivery.
- If the customer has a saved address, select it.
- To add a new address, click (+) Add New Address with Map.
- You can type the address or pin the location on the map.
- Click Add then Save Address.
Option C: Takeaway
- Select Take-away.
- A time picker popup will appear.
- Select the expected Pickup Time.
- Click Set.
Option D: Pick-up (Third Party)
- Select Pick-up.
- Select the delivery partner (e.g., Zomato, Deliveroo, Amazon).
- Click Confirm.
Outcome
The order is tagged with the specific service type, which determines tax rules, service charges, and KOT routing.
