How to Manage Service Types

Overview

Unidiner supports multiple service workflows. Selecting the correct service type ensures the order is routed correctly (e.g., to a table or a delivery driver).

Prerequisites

  • User Permission Required: pos_access
  • Configuration: Tables and Delivery Zones must be set up.

Step-by-Step Guide

Select the service type from the dropdown menu in the cart section:

Option A: Dine-in

  1. Select Dine-in.
  2. A Table Selection popup appears showing floors and sections.
  3. Select a table (you can view capacity and current occupancy).
  4. Enter the Number of People.
  5. Click Confirm Selection.

Option B: Delivery

  1. Select Delivery.
  2. If the customer has a saved address, select it.
  3. To add a new address, click (+) Add New Address with Map.
  4. You can type the address or pin the location on the map.
  5. Click Add then Save Address.

Option C: Takeaway

  1. Select Take-away.
  2. A time picker popup will appear.
  3. Select the expected Pickup Time.
  4. Click Set.

Option D: Pick-up (Third Party)

  1. Select Pick-up.
  2. Select the delivery partner (e.g., Zomato, Deliveroo, Amazon).
  3. Click Confirm.

Outcome

The order is tagged with the specific service type, which determines tax rules, service charges, and KOT routing.
