How to Select Items and Customize Orders

Overview​

Efficiently finding and customizing items is crucial for speed of service. This guide covers how to locate products, select sizes, and add special instructions.

Prerequisites​

  • User Permission Required: pos_access
  • Hardware: Touchscreen POS terminal recommended

Step-by-Step Guide​

  1. Find the Item

    • Use the Search Bar at the top to type the item name.
    • Use the Veg / Non-Veg / All toggle buttons to filter the menu grid.

  2. Add to Cart Click on the product image.

    • Simple Items: Will be added immediately to the cart.
    • Items with Variations: A popup will appear (e.g., for Fries). Select the required size (e.g., Small/Large).
    • Items with Modifiers: Select optional add-ons (e.g., Extra Cheese, No Ice).

  3. Add Special Instructions Inside the item popup (or by editing the item in the cart), type any specific notes for the kitchen in the text box.

    • Examples: "No salt," "Extra spicy," "Allergy alert."

  4. Confirm Click Add to Cart to finalize the item selection.

Outcome​

The item appears in the cart on the right side of the screen with all selected options and instructions visible.
