How to Manage the Cart (Edit, Discount & Delete)

Overview

Mistakes happen, and customers change their minds. This guide explains how to modify orders before they are sent to the kitchen.

Prerequisites

  • User Permission Required: pos_access
  • Optional Permission: apply_discount (for item-level discounts)

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Adjust Quantity Use the (+) and (-) buttons next to the item name in the cart to increase or decrease the count.

  2. Edit an Item Click the Pencil Icon next to the item in the cart.

    • You can change the size, modifiers, or special instructions here.
  3. Apply Item Discount Inside the Edit popup, look for the Item Discount field.

    • Select Percentage (%) or Flat Amount.
    • Enter the value and click Update Item.
  4. Remove Item Click the Trash Can Icon next to the item to remove it from the order completely.

  5. Clear Entire Cart To start over completely, click the Clear Cart icon (Trash bin) at the top right of the cart header.

Outcome

The cart total updates automatically to reflect changes in quantity, modifiers, or discounts.
