Transfer Order

Overview

The Transfer Order module is used to transfer inventory items and ingredient batches from one branch or inventory location to another.

This functionality helps businesses:

  • Manage branch inventory movement
  • Track ingredient transfers
  • Monitor batch-wise stock movement
  • Maintain accurate stock levels across locations
  • Improve inventory visibility and control

Accessing the Transfer Order Module

  1. Login to the application.
  2. Navigate to Inventory Management.
  3. Click on Transfer Order.
  4. The Transfer Order listing page opens.

Add Transfer Order

Overview

Users can create a new Transfer Order to transfer ingredient stock between branches.

Steps to Add Transfer Order

  1. Click on Add Transfer Order.
  2. The Add Transfer Order modal or page opens.
  3. Fill in the required details.
  4. Click Save.

Required Fields

Sending Branch

  • Auto-selected based on the logged-in branch.
  • Mandatory field.

Receiving Branch

  • Select the branch where inventory will be transferred.
  • Mandatory field.

Source Inventory

  • Select the inventory source.
  • Mandatory field.

Notes

  • Optional field.
  • Used for additional transfer information.

Ingredient Selection

  • Select the ingredient to transfer.
  • Mandatory field.

Batch Selection Process

After selecting an ingredient:

  1. Click on Add Batch.
  2. Select the required batch.
  3. Enter transfer quantity.
  4. Save batch details.

The system validates available stock quantity before processing the transfer.

Adding Multiple Ingredients

Users can add multiple ingredients in a single Transfer Order.

Steps

  1. Click on Add Item.
  2. Select another ingredient.
  3. Add batch and quantity details.
  4. Repeat as needed.

Transfer Order Status

The system maintains transfer order statuses for tracking purposes.

Common statuses may include:

  • Pending
  • Completed
  • Cancelled

Edit Transfer Order

Overview

Users can edit Transfer Orders before completion.

Editable Details

Users can modify:

  • Receiving branch
  • Notes
  • Ingredient quantity
  • Batch selection
  • Added ingredients

Steps

  1. Open the Transfer Order.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the required details.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Cancel Transfer Order

Overview

Users can cancel Transfer Orders if the transfer is no longer required.

Steps

  1. Open the Transfer Order.
  2. Click Cancel.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.

System Behavior

  • Transfer Order status changes to Cancelled.
  • Inventory quantities are restored if stock was reserved.

Inventory Impact

Sending Inventory

After successful transfer:

  • Ingredient quantity is reduced from the sending inventory.
  • Selected batch quantity is updated.

Receiving Inventory

After transfer completion:

  • Ingredient quantity is added to the receiving inventory.
  • Batch details are maintained.
